Created to further team unity, camaraderie, esprit de corps & general bonhomie, the Captain's Cup is a preseason intra-squad competition featuring mixed teams made up of players from all five of the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s GAP Team Match teams. In creating this competition, a primary goal of the Founding Captains was to help bring the GAP Team Championship to PCC, a dream which was finally realized in 2013 and then repeated in 2015.

Tracing it’s history to the Spring of 1941, this annual event is one of the oldest (albeit not continuous) golfing competitions at the Cricket Club. In keeping with club tradition, the winning team members have their names inscribed for posterity on the legendary Cup itself which is then entrusted to the care of the winning captain.
